Key surgical strategies discussed include optimal trocar placement to accommodate limited abdominal space, the use of advanced optics for better visualization, and strategic tool application like bipolar and monopolar energies for precise cutting and coagulation. Dr. Martinez underscores the importance of robotic surgery in facilitating these approaches, notably with shorter learning curves and enhanced surgical dexterity. The presentation emphasizes anatomical considerations, such as uterine artery and bladder dissection, and the utilization of real-time fluorescent imaging for safety enhancement. Additionally, the session covers the adaptability required in the use of uterine manipulators and electrosurgical devices to manage variable anatomy effectively, ensuring high safety standards and optimal surgical outcomes. This training event not only aims to equip surgeons with practical skills but also to inspire innovative approaches to gynecological surgery.
