
Dr. María Rodríguez is a thoracic surgeon specializing in lung cancer, patient safety, patient-reported outcomes, and minimally invasive surgery. She holds an MD from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a PhD from the Universidad de Salamanca. Dr. Rodríguez trained in various international hospitals, including Mount Sinai, Massachusetts General Hospital, UCSF, UCLA, Saint Thomas Hospital in London, and Saint Louis and La Laribossiere Hospitals in Paris.
During her residency at Salamanca University Hospital, Dr. Rodríguez published research on risk evaluation, results, and quality audits in thoracic surgery. Dr. Rodríguez is an Associate Clinical Professor and contributes to scientific research. She serves as a proctor for Abex/Intuitive, promoting safe robotic thoracic surgery implementation in Spain, and is a Thoracic Surgery reviewer for the scientific platform Cientifix.
