Complications avoidance and management techniques - SADI compared to OAGB

The most important factor to avoid complications is having a correct previous study of the clinical case with proper procedure selection and patient preparation and then deciding, on that basis, on the best operative strategy and technique. To select the best procedure it is important to analyze the risk factors and the possibility of a second-step surgery. The minimum weight loss before surgery must be over 10% of the weight. Before the surgery, the surgeon must think about the possibility of performing a 2-step procedure. Anticoagulant prophylaxis is recommended in patient preparation. This video shows the tips and tricks to perform a SADI and an OAGB.
