Dr. Jayne McCauley attended medical school at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. She went on to complete a general surgery residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, followed by a 2-year trauma/critical care fellowship at the University of Texas Houston, Memorial Hermann Hospital. She is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and serves as Trauma Medical Director at University Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and traveling.
