Dr. Claudia Aceves is a third year resident of general surgery at Angeles Pedregal Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico.
I studied medicine at UAG school of medicine in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Residents are exposed to a daily tremendous amount of stress and responsibility in the workplace. This can often cause mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and burnout. Unfortunately, many of them are not aware of the importance of mental health and do not have the resources to address it.
