
Dr. Noah Switzer is a distinguished Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon based in Edmonton, Alberta, and an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta. His clinical practice is specialized in bariatric and metabolic surgery, foregut surgery, and advanced minimally invasive techniques. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Edmonton Adult Bariatric Specialty Clinic, where he leads efforts in high-quality patient care.
Dr. Switzer completed his medical education and General Surgery residency at the University of Alberta, followed by advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive, bariatric, and foregut surgery. Furthermore, he holds a Master of Public Health in Clinical Epidemiology from Harvard University, where his graduate work focused on obesity care and clinical outcomes. His professional interests include surgical education, quality improvement initiatives, bariatric outcomes, revisional surgery, and the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
