Brief Description and Surgical Management of Cleft Lip and Palate
Cleft lip with or without palate involvement occurs in 1 in 700 births and accounts for 1100 births a year. It is a defect of the lip and/or palate that has multiple impacts on a child’s development physically, functionally and psychologically. Incidence, prevalence, anatomy and surgical management of clefts are briefly described in this OC.
