In this lecture, we give an overview on the growth and development of robotic surgery and robotic systems.
When thinking about the future of healthcare and the role of robotics in that future we aim for high quality care, operational efficiency, and a safe work environment.
There are new platforms in development from the 12 main companies in the industry, with 2 specific companies catching the eye of surgeons: MicroBot Medical and Vicarious Surgical.
These new platforms will enable the use of augmented reality, mixed reality and artifical intelligence.
The possiblity of using these resources in surgery will help reduce the waiting period to treatment, as well as improve the technique and outcomes.
Share it with your network and help spread clinical knowledge.
